The outdoor pools look cool. One of them is a splash pad with giant Powerpuff Girls flying up from it. The larger pool is called "The Land of P'oool" and is themed to Adventure Time. Of course, it's only February so neither of them are open, but they are visible from our room, and you have to go by them to get to the indoor pool. As Abby and Mom went to the indoor pool, Scott packed the car and checked out.
Over all, we think that we'd give the Cartoon Network Hotel a thumbs up. Our quibbles with it were minor. We don't think they tried very hard to get us an Adventure Time room, because we could see a lot of them through the windows as we were packing up, and there were apparently unoccupied because there weren't many people there. We ate twice at the Cartoon Kitchen, and each time the service was friendly, but we waited a long time for food, especially considering there weren't many other people there. But they did make Scott bacon pancakes, even though they weren't officially on the menu for some reason. We're sure the experience here would be different at times when it isn't off season. Overall, we'd rank this about on par with and cheaper than the All-Star Movies and similar resorts at Disney World.
Speaking of Disney, we went to the Disney Store at the nearby outlets next. Abby got a Minnie tea set. At the Pepperidge Farm store, Julie loaded up with lots of breads, cookies and goldfish crackers. At the DXL store, Scott got a shirt and a pair of swimming trunks (a bit too late to use on this trip, though). That was all we cared to do. We headed for home with the hope of getting the rental car returned tonight.
