My journey to Atlanta- Friday, Oct. 17, 2014
At the beginning of this week my parents left to go to Atlanta to visit my father's sisters. I think I have not seen all the sisters together since before my grandmother passed away. The more I thought about their trip the madder I got with myself for not having the foresight to book a flight and see them as well. I mentioned this to my family, and they immediately told me to go. I hemmed and hawed about the price, the bad timing and the thought of leaving my lovely family. Finally on Thursday night, Scott booked me tickets to travel. I am excited about this journey and nervous as well. I miss my little family in Buffalo but I know this trip is sorely needed and I cannot wait to see my aunts. So, it is 6:30 PM and I am sitting in the airport in Buffalo waiting to fly to Washington Dulles at 7:59. My journey has just started and boy it will be fast. Special thanks to my wonderful husband for pushing me to leave and taking care of our daughters. Wish me luck! I will post more after the flight.
I landed in Washington Dulles without incident. In fact I had a nice conversion with a freshman from Carnegie Mellon. After landing in DC, within 25 minutes I was boarding my plane to Atlanta. I slept most of the flight. We landed at about 11:59. I proceeded to Alamo to get my white Accent and then on to the hotel, arriving at 12:50 at the Microtel. I will write more tomorrow.
