It's Friday night, so this must be…. Williamsport? - April 11, 2008
Julie was ever so anxious to get this vacation underway, so we started packing the car on Thursday night. On Friday we went to school as usual, and came home to pack the last minute things and strap the bikes to the back. We set up the girls in the backseat watching Alvin and the Chipmunks on the DVD players, and we were off to Gettysburg.
Things were fine for four hours or so, but in Pennsylvania the driving started to get a little hairy. It started raining pretty hard. What made things worse was a light fog that made following the road a real eye-strain, and the road on Rte. 15 gets pretty winding and hilly. We decided to stop for the night in Williamsport. The girls are OK with that, since they’re bouncing on the bed watching new SpongeBobs on TV and will probably go swimming in the pool tomorrow morning.
