Thanksgiving Interlude-- Rochester, November 29, 2008
On Friday morning, after Thanksgiving, we were ready to go somewhere and do something fun. We thought about a couple of ideas, including the Strong Museum in Rochester, but Scott thought we got too late of a start to make it there early enough. We spent the morning resting, but at 3:00, we went to Paradise Island on Transit Road. We got a pizza there, and while the girls went swimming Mom and Dad read books. Julie read the Monk book that Scott gave her for Sweetest Day, and Scott read a Sandman book that Julie gave him for his birthday. The girls spent two hours swimming and going down the waterslides.
While we were eating pizza, Anna decided that for her "green month" from school, she wanted to have a night in a hotel room, with a pool. So we went home, packed our bags quickly, and drove to Rochester where Julie had made us some reservations. Right now, Julie and Anna are downstairs, swimming. Scott is typing this, and Emma is laying on the bed watching "Elf" on cable.
Tomorrow, I expect that we'll go swimming again in the morning and be at the Strong Museum when they open the doors at 10:00.
