Disneyland, July 6, 2015
The day has finally come and we are here! Emma said the best was saved for last. We got up and parked the car at 7:15 AM. We then bought our one day passes and headed for the park. We were let in at about 7:45 AM and we proceeded to Adventureland. Here we first rode the Jungle Cruise, Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Haunted Mansion. The waits were only five to ten minutes long and we conquered 1/3 of the park before 9:30.
It then started to slow down when we hit Fantasyland. Peter Pan's flight had an enormous wait with no FastPass because it had just re-opened two days earlier. We rode all the favorites and even some new ones.
It is funny, because at lunch Emma started to rank the parks. She likes the Florida park the best, then France and California last. She said California's Disneyland is too small and only has two parks. She sure does say whatever is on her mind.
Anna seemed to enjoy any ride that let her feel like she was driving like: Roger Rabbit (also known as "the ride that Emma broke" from years ago), Autopia, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, and even the Indiana Jones ride. I think she thinks she is now ready to be a real driver. While we were here she wanted to go into the desert so she could drive. Obviously, we did not go into the desert for that very reason!!
We ate at about 11:00 in Tomorrowland at the Space Port. We then waited in enormous lines for Space Mountain, Start Tours, and Buzz Lightyear. Dinner quickly approached, so we found a noodle place for Emma that also sold pizza, so both girls were very happy. We then called Scott to see how his day was going.
After dinner, we rode the monorail, Nemo, and tried to ride the Storybook Land boat ride that was closed for the parade. The girls then wanted to go shopping on Main Street. Anna found a crew neck sweat shirt, and gifts for friends, and Emma fund some packages of small characters and a stuffed Stitch. We then headed for the exit because Emma could hardly keep her eyes opened. We went back to the hotel and Mom watched the fireworks from there. It was a great day but we were all grumpy and tired.
Tomorrow we start for home!! Emma wants to stay two more days and Anna wants to go home and see her dogs and friends. I am torn, there is so much more I want to see, but I really miss Scott and our home. It was a great trip but one member was sorely missed. See you all very soon.
