Thanksgiving Trip, 2011- Syracuse, Wednesday, Nov. 23

For some reason, West Seneca Schools were off an extra day for Thanksgiving break this year, so while Mom had to go to school, three of us got to sleep in and finish packing. We had the car ready and waiting to pick her up just as school ended and we were off for this season’s adventure.

We were anxious to get on the road, because we cancelled our Columbus Day weekend plans in October. We made it to Syracuse tonight, where we had a hotel room waiting. We checked in and then went for dinner and shopping at the Carousel Center mall. Sadly, the girls weren’t interested in riding the carousel itself, and were much more interested in shopping. They are getting older. All three girls were happy to see a Disney Store again, since the one in the Walden Galleria has been closed for some time now.

Emma found someone’s Visa card laying in the parking lot as we were getting ready to leave. We took a moment to turn it in to customer services, but someone’s liable to be shocked when they discover it missing Black Friday morning (or whenever they try to use it next). We are back at the hotel now, and Anna is off swimming in the pool while Emma is watching TV.
