Tuesday, July 24, 2007- Bump!

OK, change in plans already. As we went up to the gate in the Buffalo airport, the first thing that we noticed was that there was no plane there yet. They made an announcement that it was delayed arriving for an hour (at least). That was going to make it impossible for us to catch our connecting flight in Cincinnati. The next announcement that they made was calling for three volunteers to take a bump from the overbooked flight from here. After a little discussion, we decided to take it. You might recall that these tickets today were payed for with vouchers we got from getting bumped last year. I wonder how long we can keep this up.

The three girls were disappointed that they weren't going to make it to a beach today, so the compromise plan is that we're staying in a hotel with a pool tonight. We'll have to get up earlier tomorrow in order to get to the airport at 4:00 AM. In the meanwhile, we're checked in at the Days Inn across from the airport and the girls are getting ready now to go down to the pool. Julie will use some of the time today to finish the last Harry Potter book. (No spoilers here, but I finished all but a few pages of it yesterday.)
