Easter Break is here!- Thursday, April 5, 2007

Julie has just gotten back from her marathon trip to Virginia with two bus loads of 7th graders. So what does she want to do now? Get up early tomorrow and drive to Philadelphia, of course.

We wanted to go to Texas in February, but that plan got cancelled because of the excessive snow days we've had at school this year. They started taking vacation days from us, and we ended up looking for other ways to use our plane tickets. We decided to use them for another trip to California this summer, and we've invited my parents along for part of the adventure. But that also meant that we really weren't going anywhere soon. We went to Toronto for a couple of days over the February break, but we still wanted to go somewhere at Easter. I suggested Gettysburg. It's our spot in so many ways, and it's been a while since we've spent our leisurely time there. Slowly, the trip morphed into a few days in Philadelphia and a few days in Gettysburg too-- and who knows what else along the way. We're psyched and ready to go. We'll try to check in here regularly.
