Going to Texas- July 30, 2018

     Texas is a new state for us.  Way back in 2007, we had planned to go to Texas, but the October Surprise storm of 2006 wreaked havoc on our plans, and we haven't found time to fit it into the schedule since.  We originally weren't going to make any big trips this summer, but Julie had a yearning to go to Waco because of the show Fixer-Upper (more about that when we get to Waco), and throughout the last weeks of school, we solidified plans to take a "small" vacation there.  We asked the girls to come with us, but we probably exhausted them last summer in the marathon across the US to Seattle.  Both of them want to stay home.  As a result, just Julie and Scott are going this time.
