Disney's California Adventure- Thursday, July 1, 2015
We started the day by getting up and ready at 6:00 am. We ate a small breakfast at the hotel, and then booked tomorrow's tour with the front desk. After getting all our belongings together we drove to Disney's California Adventure. We parked the car and took a tram to the front entrance. It was exciting to see the signs for both parks and even Downtown Disney. My mother had given us two Disneyland tickets from 1992, so we went to customer service to see if we could still use them. The lady confirmed that was indeed the case, and all I needed to do was buy a ticket for Emma. Thanks to mom and dad, we saved $200- wahoooo! The California park had people entering early, so we decided to try to enter as well. We learned that this was only for people staying in Disney hotels, however, the cast member saw our old tickets and wanted to scan them, so he let us in early. He even gave us early entry passes so we could ride the rides early so well.
Our first ride was Soarin. It is my favorite and it takes you to all parts of California via a hang glider. We felt that that would start the day well. We continued to have really good luck until 10:30, when Emma became hungry and need a break, so we had a brunch at the new section called "Cars." It looked just like the town of Radiator Springs from the movie. After that, we rode more rides and ate more food. When we talked to Scott on the phone tonight, we told him about how "It's Tough to Be a Bug" was replaced with a 4-D Preview of Marvel's Ant-Man movie, which is coming out on Anna's birthday. They even had one of Ant-Man's costumes from the movie on display. We all thought that Dad would have really enjoyed that part if he had been here. The weather is overcast but still quite warm.
We stayed in the park until 6 pm, and then we went shopping in Downtown Disney for souvenirs. After shopping, Emma asked to go back to the room and take a nap, so we headed back to the room. One hour later, Anna and I left to get food at Chipotle, as she has never eaten there and wanted to try it. We brought the food back to the room and spent the rest of the night relaxing because tomorrow we are going on a eleven hour tour of Los Angeles, Hollywood, the beaches, and many of the stars' homes. So far a great day but we are tired. Goodnight love you all.
